Services

The Staff at the Orchard know how difficult it is for parents to leave their children in someone else’s care. We as a childcare team strive to ensure that the services that we provide are of a high quality and give peace of mind to the parents

Baby / Wobbler / Toddler Room
Children from 4 months – 2 ½ years

Baby and Wobbler Room Baby and Wobbler Outside Area
This room has a loving, friendly, home like environment to help the children transition from home to childcare with as little stress as possible.

It has direct access from the room to an outdoor area specific for the younger child and babies.

Play School (Junior Pre-School)
Children from 2 ½ - 3 years

High Scope Table Top
This has a mostly play based curriculum which helps the children understand the world through play. The children are introduced to the concept of numbers and letters and also to pre writing in fun adult led activities.

High Scope
Children Aged 2½ - 5years

High Scope Room
High scope is a quality approach to early childhood care which has been researched and practiced for over 40 years. The High scope approach to learning gives the individual child an active role in there own learning giving them direct, hands on experiences with people, objects, events and ideas. We also work along to the Aistear Framework.

Homework / After School Club
Children Aged 4+

After School Room
When the children come in from school they will complete there homework in a supervised and quiet environment. They will then have a hot nutritional meal prepared on the premises. This is then followed by age appropriate activites or just hang out and chill with their friends after a long day at school.

Breakfast Club
7am – 9am
Children arriving at the service between 7am – 9am can avail of our breakfast club where they will be given a healthy and fulfilling breakfast. Then can go and play in a fully supervised child care facility.
Children that go to school will then be dropped to school by our FREE bus service.

Settling Period
With any of our services we would recommend a settling period over 2/3 weeks, where the child can come 2 or 3 hours a day so that they become familiar and comfortable with their new environment. This is very important transitioning time for both parents and child. It is our wish as a child care provider and quality childcare team that we can help in any way possible

Camps
Summer, Easter, Halloween, Christmas Camps
In these camps we offer a range of activities sports, cooking, arts and crafts to keep the kids busy and entertained. All camps are fully insured and offer the option of a hot meal and snacks.
